Has anyone played that piece and Presto after it? I`d appreciate it if you could give techniques related to specific parts of either of them. If you`re a violin teacher, you`ll know what i mean, (i.e., scribbles all over the page!)

Oh..I see...Wait, let me take my scores...okie...This was how I used to do it..maynot be the best way...but: Seperate them into voices...so ie, at allegro, bar 1 , step 1 :play D, C, B flat, C, A, B flat, D and B flat together. Play it, hear it , get it even and clear, now articulate it, and register the sound in yr ears...then step 2: play lower notes together, A E, D F sharp, G G, F, E flat, F, D. Play it, hear it, get it even, register the sound.
step 3 : Do together. And take note of chords like the one in Allegro, bar 1,2nd beat...I drew a fingerboard xxxfingering chart just for that...to see clearly where my fingers will end up and how much I`ve to stretch.
So it works for me like that...seperate into voices and drawing finger charts. What about u?

Its coming along. The third and fourth stops are proving tricky to get the bow on the strings.

Happy practicing! ...This is actually a great topic...we hardly see such technical thread. U should start a new thread based on this multi layer, consecutive chord playing thing. We ought to have more technical discussion instead. Jay...if u really really really wanna seek advice from pro, post this topic at stringasylum.tk The pp there are really professional. Let me know when they offer u better advice then mine. thank you.
