brand new out of the box read all
the instructions it does have a sound post. The bridge is right and
what else do I need to know? How tight the bow is? Will that make it sound? Chris

A couple of things- first off, you really should be working with an instructor or at the very least a person from a music store to help you set it up. The feet of the bridge need to be sanded so that they are flush to the body of the violin in order to transfer the sound of the string vibration into the body of the violin. You`ll need to spend a couple of minutes rubbing rosin onto the bow hair, the bow should be tightened so that you have a gap the size of the width of a pencil between the hair and the bow.
