Heya people. I`m usually mostly a classical violin player but I`ve come upon a problem. I`ve always wanted ta rock out on my electric violin and never could really do so until this Christmas when I got this awesome guitar pedal for it. But whenever I crank up the overdrive and try to rock out, I sound like crap! And I`ve been practicin` especially with my freinds who really love ta just jam out, but I never sound any better. Anybody know any electric violinists out there that could at least inspire me? Thanks!

How about listening to Charlie Daniels? Like "Devil went down to Georgia" Now there`s a violin tune that rocks!

Pfft. What I wouldn`t give to play `Devil went down to Georgia`. To difficult for me though. I am a begginer... To hard. I am lucky to be playing Twinkle Twinkle little Star, Joy to the world and a bit o` Spanish Violin let alone anything else. Well... I have no teacher yet.

Check out the band Yellowcard.
They have a electric violinist. If you go to the site yellowcardrock.com you can get some sheet music for some of the songs.
