So here I was for a couple of days trying to find out where to put my fingers on the finger board, and finally I found it!

When I first played, in fourth grade, the teacher taped the fingerboard, and that was how I learned, so I wanted to tape my finger positions so I could relearn with something that was comfortable and familiar to me.

on a 4/4 violin:
first finger goes one inch from the nut
second two inches from the nut
third two and a half inches from the nut(or your third finger right next to the second finger)
fourth is three and a half inces from the nut.

Now only if I could overcome my tone deafness so I could tune the thing better!

But that`s only some of the notes. What about the rest?

lol. Thought of that too, but I guess I could always worry about that when I get a wee bit more advanced? Maybe someday I will move to an area that has people who teach violin. Wouldn`t that be a novel idea?
