Since this forum draws a large international group of viewers, you might want to try posting in `real` words, instead of the chatroom short form...not everyone may want to spend time deciphering...

...just a suggestion...

Sorry to sound like your mum or dad but, what do you mean you can`t find ANYTHING. I`m sure, that given ten minutes on the net I could find virtually any piece of music in ABC or PDF and a MIDI version to listen to.

well to help you find music to play, a good thing to tell us is what kind of music, or your playing level to give us an idea. suuki books are a good place to start.

I have lots of music to play in my violin books. I like most of it. My mom let me look at that site. Its good. But not as good as the music in the books. Doesn`t everyone have books?

When someone asks for help, the normal and appropriate thing to do is to answer, and be as helpful as possible, not show your utter incompetence on how not to be helpful.

i.e what makes a bird fly?
answer: her wings, gravitation, air and energy.

That is what forums are for. I hope I have been helpful.

Just a suggestion.

I was talking to another girl who takes lessons from my teacher. Sometimes I play Disney and other music for fun. She said that`s dumb and we should only play classical music or studies. Why would it be dumb to play other stuff just for fun?

Play anything you want and enjoy it. Just because it isn`t classical doesn`t make it bad.

Vio-Lynn,

music is all about enjoyment - play anything you like that gives you pleasure.

Do you know the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants? I know a whole bunch of adults who are trying to learn the various tunes. Is that dumb? Maybe a little, but it`s fun! I`d love to pull one of those out of the hat and get a laugh out of my fellow fiddlers.

Jeff & I are both working on a similar tune that featured in a British cartoon series of 30 years ago, and hopefully when we get to meet in June we`ll be able to get a smile out of our peers.

Keep posting! You come across as a very intellighent and level-headed individual, and you can spell.
