ok I have another dumb question. Although I`m playing for some time now I can`t get rid of this thing. When my bow is near the frog and I`m pulling it down it suddenly starts to vibrate. It`s a horribly annoying thing, it messes up whole my play does anyone have a similliar problem or is someone able to tell me what am I doing wrong? i would be VERY grateful.

I think what bekah said is that you`re applying too much force on the string. Let gravity do the work.

I never had that problem until recently. I was playing too much at the tip - so my teacher has me working near the bow to get used to it...and yes indeedy! I too get the `bow vibrato`...but it`s not as bad with the heavier bow and it`s getting better the more I play.

well I`m also playing better - just takes time and practice i think :P but when I play with my teacher`s bow [carbon something] which is much lighter the vibrating stops suddenly. So i think i just have to purchase a better bow

Considering my recent `a better bow really is better!` epiphany - I`d highly suggest you go get yourself a good one.

If you can (I couldn`t really) try a bunch out...they`re all so different!
