Hi Bekah,
If you know what make of string you have, sometimes
particular rosins are made for those strings.
Otherwise I`d recommend Hidersine, it comes in a round tin so it`s well protected against knocks when left in the case, and the block is quite big so it`s good value. If there`s a choice, go for light - the colour of runny honey.

I have Hidersine in a box. Not in a can. My teacher said any rosin is okay to start with. I like my teacher.
