I was hoping ot find violin/fiddling clubs inthe toronto ontario area. I`m new to the instrument, and I`m lost. But I know it would be incredible fun to find a group of people who get together and play.
Also, I could use some coaching. I checked out the cost of lessons, and around here it`s $40 an hour!!! THere is no way I can afford that! I am hoping to find a student somewhere or jsut someone who would like a common interest friend who would teach for $10 an hour, cuase that`s about all I can afford. THis is only a hobby afterall, and I just need help starting.
Comments suggestions??
THanks

Do you still go to school? if so
you could probably ask your band teacher
if they have anything you could use
or you can go to a music store and they
have violin books that teach you step
by step how to play. They`re really easy
to follow.

I am currently in book 2 (Suzuki method). I`m trying to teach my self, but am expericing problems, i.e. keeping my bow straight, it is difficult for me to stand up and practice, Tuning my instrument properly. But, I still love it, and plan to hang in there.
