What kind of tape should I use on my fingerboard? Any ideas?

Haha...if you know how to type, I don`t think you need tape. So my answer also is NONE.

Is it bad for it or something? Cuz the orchestra teacher puts small pieces of electrical tape on some people`s instruments.

hey um my teacher just uses the masking tape for the begginers @ my school but if you are going to use tape then only use it for the 1st finger cuz you don`t want to get "addcited" to the tape ok well good luck

The orchestra teacher does that in a desperate attempt to make the string section sound slightly less excruciating than it otherwise would, not to help kids learn the violin. If you want to play violin, you have to learn to use your ears, to hear tones and semitones. Tape is totally unnecessary and is only ever a short cut.

Good, because I took my tapes off (well, acutally they fell off) a while ago.
