Hey, I am wondering how much time a day you put in to practice during:
Holidays I do around 2-3 Max: 7
Weekends I do around 1 1/2- 2 1/2 Max: 7
Weekdays(working)I do at least 1-3 Max: 5
Those amounts aren`t exaggerated at all. Probably practice so much cause I have a major ambition to become a professional. At the moment, I am 11 years old.
This practice is seriously helping my play, cause for example: I was leading 2nd Violin in all of East Dunbartonshire primary schools (East Dunbartonshire is like, half of Glasgow) and my teacher tested me and said I could play anything about grade 5, and I have only been playing for less than a year with teacher.
Sorry if this sounds like I`m bragging, cause I`m not trying to do that.

O well then you are really doing very well indeed. Also I had you down as being much older than 11.

It`s good to see you so ambitious.
I hardly practice anymore, so, on average I may be around 10 minutes a day...sad isn`t it?
But on piano, I still practice (not as much as I would like) since I`m sort of "stuck" with piano.
I`m 15.

Keep it up!!! THe key to being a professional is practice...but make sue you spend some of that time on easy stuff like scales, not just on pieces of music...

Congrats Anton! If you`re doing so well at such a young age...you can probably take it where you like!
Just don`t burn out...take the time for other hobbies and interests...it`s very important...

Last year I only practiced about an hour a day. I think this is rather pathetic, but when I told my teacher he said "I wish all my students were that dedicated." Lol, he has low standards.
For the summer I have just been pratcicing etudes and stuff, on and off, and practicing piano for about an hour a day. Hopefully in the fall I will be able to practice more, since last year I was very busy building a house, and this summer I have spent a lot of time with my lame horse (I know: excuses, excuses). Also, I will be able to get up early and practice before school again as I no longer share a room with my sister and don`t have to worry about her being extremely angry with me (I am a morning person, she is not.)
I am 16, by the way.

i hardly practice at all
i just play scottish music ( because i am scottish! )
that i have got from the internet or from a friend or my teacher when i feel in the mood for playing because i dont want to force myself as i wont play good if im not in the mood. i dont really have a book at the moment 2 work from as i have just done my grade 5 so i am taking a break in the holidays to relax and be ready to play when i go back to school. I am quite slow with the violin as u can tell! although i do work hard when i want to or need to. the violin 4 me is a hobby and a like not an obsession like other people. but there is nothing wrong with that because everyone is different!!!
