Recently, i had heard the song Ocean Avenue, and was curious about how a rock group inported a classically trained violinist into the group. I am 15, and have played the violin since the age of 3 and a half (thats a while huh.) After exploring around the web, looking for the sheet music for ocean avenue, I came across this site, where pretty much everyone was busy bashing a man who has brought music to all of the world. How dare you insult Itzhak Perlman. The man is a godd damned legend on the violin. If you dont believe me, download his playing of the Carmen fantasies by sarasate. And to those saying violin is a piece of cake after only 2 weeks of playing, i then go on to spit in your face and laugh. You have no idea how much blood (yes blood) sweat and tears have gone into playing the violin. Once you move out of the fantasy world of Suzuki and step into the real world of violin, you will understand what i mean. You should be ashamed of yourselves. By the way, if you do have a copy of the music, feel free to Emial it to me

never mind i found the music. Go to yellowcardrock.com, then go to music, and there is a link for violin sheet music. But yeah, you should still be ashamed of yourselves. For god sakes, Itzhak was on Sessame street

Ben, I do not believe that the real Itzhak Perlman was the one who posted that message. He is not the type of person who would bash beginning violinists. And those who responded to "his" comment, were referring to what was said. I am sure that most know who Perlman is and his amazing skill, therefore there is no need for harsh words or inappropriate language. Just be a little more open minded about comments written here.

seano, just practice hard, and stay clear of ur dreams. i`ve played the violin for about 4 years now, and i`m improving everyday. in 5th grade i was kind of ignored, no one taught meeh, i had a bad teacher. in 6th grade, i was pushed 3 times as hard, though my teacher was strict, he taught meeh well. in 7th - 8th grade, i`m improving, i can sightread very well, i have good tone, and quality. and i`m in honor orchestra. don`t give up, learn to love it. =]

Hey guys. I`m writing a score to S&M Metallica`s Nothing Else Matters for my brother`s highschool talent show... it got out and now they want me to teach a violinist the Empty Apartment riff. Yellowcard rocks. Strings rock. Need some help or encouragement, holla at me! I`ve been around the block or two.

about this pesky Itzhak business... come on. Itzhak has been deemed a virtuoso and more importantly a humanitarian. He loves music, and that encompasses everyone that plays it. Keep playing guys! And for those other jerks, music`s here to bind people together. Don`t rape it`s cause.

Peace -dustin.
