I would start with wrist. It would make it easier to learn the others.

Learning all three is more professional than just learning one.

There is also finger vibrato, but I don`t think it`s used as much as the others.

I`ve heard different things. My teacher said that in his opinion whichever one you can do easiest and with the best sound you should do. And he`s been playing for over 60 years...

When I first started, I kind of did a finger vibrato, then people kept telling me to use my arm or wrist...

i am so with you CJ!! itz so unfair because when you ( or me specifically) ask a lot of teachers for advice all i get is "dont worry it will come to you, everyone has their own style"
well im fed up with hearing this!! I WANT TO DO IT NOW!
i have been trying for at least a year and i am getting to that point in saying maybe i just wont be able to do it.......ever. but you kind of need it when you go into competitions and exams so it is very hard for me.

I know! I can only sort of practice moving my wrist back and forth, but when I add my instrument, everything sort of collapses! What REALLY sucks is that I have the worst orchestra teacher in the entire world, so that would be of much help. And songs just sound way too plain without some kind of vibrato...
