Just got my new electric violin and folks, if any of you are toying with the idea of getting one, DO IT DO IT DO IT. I`ve played acoustic for 5 years and adore its tone and quality, but for stage shows, my new baby..doesn`t have a name yet.. is definitely more up to the task. For one, it is noticeably lighter (which kinda threw me off at first, but I quickly adjusted) and it is very easy to get sound (insert "duh" here) thus saving me poor bow arm after 4 hours of continuous play at a crazy tempo!

It`s lighter? What brand/model is it? I thought they were generally heavier because of the bateries and stuff they had in `em.

I`m interested in electric violins...I`m not really sure what brands are best, quality and price wise... Any ideas?
