Hey, that happens to me too! But I`m old...so that`s my excuse...
...but you shouldn`t be having problems at your age, unless your overall posture and position is poor...have you asked your teacher?
The only other thing I can suggest is to try it with a shoulder rest if you don`t use one, or without the shoulder rest if you do use one...
try playing like this for a few sessions to give yourself a chance to really tell if it helps with the discomfort...
...not sure what to tell you about the wrists...I`ve only seen that happening with over-practice...
...and you don`t want to overpractice at age 14, or you might end up with really bad arthritis when you`re 50 (and most 50 year olds still want to be able to play too...I know I`m planning on still playing when I`m 50 - and beyond!) .

Do you warm up when before you practice and stretch afterwards? Whether you realize it or not, playing violin is an extremely physical `hobby`. It`s just like playing a sport. Here`s the best link I could find for stretching: http://www.brianmac.demon.co.uk/stretch.htm Also, if your wrist hurts you should see a doctor immediately, especially if you feel pain. Depending on how much you practice you could have early stages of arthritis, tendonitis, or carpal tunnel, all of which are very serious and could possibly need surgery. I`m not trying to scare you, it`s just that I`ve been through this myself. Who knows, you could just be growing or not warming up enough with scales. Good luck! Tootles!
