how do i fix this? its like i had to tigthen a lot to make the hair not touch the screen which in turn makes the stick even more deformed. this really sucks

The hair is too long. If the bow is worth it, then a rehairing will solve the problem.

i just read a solution but its dangerous...
to get rid of the bend, they can heat the bow and bend it straight, but the bow can break at any time during the process...
Can you give me an estimate on what an average luthier would charge for this?

and yes, i`ve always excessively loosened the hair back when i was young. it definately contributed to the bow being warped.

Hold on a minute. Are you talking about horizontal warping? I assumed you were just talking about having to tighten it too much.

it would be sooooooooo much easyer if you buy a new bow and maybe cheaper

well not sure which is horizontal or verticle
but from the side, the bow seems to stoop down a lot

how much would a rehair cost? my bow has not been rehaired for 4 years assuming the bow was new when i got it

Over here, £20-£25. If you`re in the US, that information won`t help much!

i foudn the cheapest bow ever and it got decent reviews lol.
if i like this bow, i might get it rehaired with real horse hair and see.
