Hi, all! I am 17 years old, and I play the piano and the French horn: I am currently looking at fulfilling my life-long dream of learning to play the violin I have already determined that I`ll need a 4/4 violin (based on arm-to-chest length). I am just wondering about... well.... everything else, LOL I`m looking at buying through eBay... any advice on that? What kind of wood should I be looking for? What else should I look for in a good beginner violin (as far as structure, ie. strings, bridge, bow, etc.)? Are there any self-teach books that you recommend (or should I do private lessons?)? I think that`s all... LOL... if you have anything else I should know, PLEASE tell me
Could you please e-mail responses to me at "jesus_freak_here@hotmail.com"? THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH! I really appreciate your help
Thanks again

e-bay is really sketchy. and it terms of starting off, the susuki method is really rad, if you know how to read music, since you play the piano, i`m assuming you do, so take it from there. The strings are (from the bottom) G, D, A, E, so if you can remember that, you`re set.
