Hello.
I am a 17 year old girl who is very interested in the violin. I`m actually obsessed at this point, but I am worried.
Am I too old to start and be successful? Not as a professional musician, but I want to master the violin.
Could anyone recommend any information or advice to me on how to begin and what to expect? Is this an incredibly difficult instrument? That won`t stop me. I want to play no matter what.
How much would a decent violin cost?

Hi. The violin isn`t too extremely difficult to learn, just depends on the person and how much effort they put into it. I got a brand new violin for $600, but you can get decent used violin for probably $100 less than new. Just look around, see what you can find the best deal on.

Thanks so much for the help! I appreciate it.
I`m so excited about getting started. I may not have began playing as early as most people, but I am going to master it. All it takes is dedication and practice.
Thanks again!

after a while, you hit a stump and get bored, but you gotta fight that and keep playing. don`t succumb to that stump as i did because it torments me when i know i could be better if i hadn`t quit the first time.
