I am looking for a new violin. I dont know what company is very good, so can you please list some companies that have great violins. Also, what is teh cheapest price for an expensive brand/company??

I think they are based in the States. I guess their "Milano" model would be a pretty good "intermediate" instrument.

Or as Mr. Xi Ling has already has (in his rather shameless plug ) suggested: www.chineseviolins.com
He himself crafts those instruments and has a "senior student" model, maybe a notch or two higher than "intermediate", but would probably serve your purposes.
