I am one of those people who are really fed up with viola jokes, I mean, cmon!! Your orchestras would sound like crap without us, and, anyway, We violists get more Scholerships.
:] Another proud violist :]

I am a violist and I think that all the violists should unite and attack everyone that makes fun of us.

I`m a violist. I think some viola jokes are funny. Yeah, people make fun of us. But why? Beats me, but sometimes you just have to suck it up and take it.
On a brighter note, here is a stringed instrument joke:
I was over at my teacher`s house warming up and his cats were listening to me. Everytime I pulled the bow across the strings, the cats would make an un-godly howling and screeching sound. My playing was just fine so I began to wonder why they were putting up such a fuss. Then it hit me and I told the cats "Relax, guys. My strings are steel."

I started playing viola in the fourth grade. I always watched the older kids liked the 5th graders play the string insturments and i decided i wanted to play one too! I automatically did not want to play the violin or cello. in my opinion, the viola has a much nicer, calmer sound. It has lower notes then the violin but higher then the cello! it seemed like the perfect insturment. I am still playing viola today and i still think it is the best string insturment out there.
