That is a beautiful instrument. I know you'll enjoy it. Have you gotten it yet? I bet you'll LOVE the sound.

I've had it for a week and a half. It got here on December 1st.

I really like the sound. The A string is nice and bright (to me anyway) and I really like the low C string. Sounds so deep.

That has some nice work on it. I like wood working but I haven't done much in a long time, it was usually furniture like stuff, mostly simple. I really like seeing other persons handywork. Having a one-of-a-kind like that one is a nice treasure.

I have had very poor customer service from Violinlovers on a recent purchase. The company sent me the wrong item(s) and refuses to return my phone call. The company will also not answer my e-mails.

I'd be curious to know the details. That is not indicative of the service I have gotten from them. But, I have known them to make decisions without checking, for example, the first time I bought from them they were out of the color of case that I ordered so they just picked one. I called and we discussed it and they made it right. In terms of contacting them, I've only called them once because I just use Yahoo messenger when I need to talk to them. Erik is very helpful and on-line very often. If he doesn't answer he's just busy and will return your message. In the design process for my 19", I quite literally pestered him for an hour and a half several days in a row. Erik was patient with me and very helpful and you'd never know that Englishis his second language. I'm betting that the mix up is because of Christmas. I know the holiday has them VERY busy. Try contacting them via yahoo messenger.

Just for the heck of it, I decided to try uploading a video to YouTube. I had to use the Webcam, I need to figure out how to use my camcorder and convert or whatever so that I can record from that instead. Anyway, here is me and my 17" Viola... I thought I would play the Funeral March (my wife's birthday today, but she wasn't around haha).
