I have a regular 16" viola and a practice electric viola. I have altered my electric viola to stand up and play it as a cellist. Is this crazy?
<Added>
I have been playing my electric viola as a cellist for a few days now and I really like it better. I have taken off the chinrest to make it a permanent conversion. I played the viola first in gradeschool, then the cello in high school and college. I will now be practicing electric viola this way for a while then convert my regular viola to play it the same way. Does anyone else do this?

Thanks for your reply. It has been the only one out of 50 hits so far. I haven't been sure how to take that, good or bad. For me, the bottem line is that I like playing my viola this way. I may never find a seasoned violist for private lessons for my style, but it is good to hear from someone who doesn't cringe at the thought of it or berate me for desecrating the sacred proper viola playing position. I like it and I'll just keep enjoying it my way. Thanks for the encouragement.
