wow im stupid i didn`t understand the question ne ways.
1.i play the viola and my fav. peice to play is "Second Hungarian Rhapsody, by F. Liszt Arranged by James "red" McLeod because viola players finally get the melody.
2. i love listening to "Concerto Grosso" the christmas concerto OP.6 NO.8 by Arcangelo Corelli Arranged by Merle J. Isaac because the peice has so many different parts to it and each new movement has a little part that reminds u of the last movement.

To listen to - at the moment either Shosticovich`s Piano Concerto No. 2 or Sherezade by Rimsky-Korsakov.
To play - I really enjoy playing Britten`s Elegy for Solo Viola, but only when I`m in the right mood . Orchestra-wise, again I enjoy the above-mentioned piano concerto, partially simply due to its understated power. String/chamber music - maybe Rhosemeydre (can`t speak Welsh, hence the spelling, sorry!) by Vaughan-Williams.
Oh, the confused

I can`t really tell which is my all time fave, but I must say that even though it seems so simple, I love Samuel Barber`s Adagio for Strings. It sounds so captivating and sad...for some reason I like music that`s like that. So heart wrenching yet so beautiful...

Well, I play piano, and though it is a basic piece, my fav 2 play is Pachebel`s Canon in D minor.
Fav to listen to is: Missy Higgins The Special Two...it is a very touchy song!
