hey, i think i have a theory on why people don`t like viola players:
Cituation:
Some one is getting to know you, they ask if you play the violin. So then you say "no, i play the viola, there`s a difference," (or something along those lines).
thus; you run off as being stuck up and arrogant or a perfectionist (because most normal people can`t see the difference between the violin and the viola compared to the cello and the bass)
maybe?

That doesn`t even make sense.
Firstly, I play the viola. In the section in my local symphony orchestra, there is one other person who is the same age as me in the viola section. Between us, we got no less than 19 A*s at GCSE (for you Yanks or Aussies that`s a hell of a lot).
So nerr-nerr.
Plus the trumpets are the ones who are supposed to be obnoxious and nasty - the viola players are supposed to be stupid - STUPID!

You dont even want to know what I think, what with all the ignorance in this reply chain. At least the other chain had legitimate thoughts. Im talkig about people like ric, who are as bad as viola haters. They are so ignorant that it hurts me to think of them.
