November 1, 2005 is the deadline for receipt of entries in the Co-op Press competition for string performers for their artistic interpretation of the music of composer, Sy Brandon as exemplified in a digital recording of one of the selected competition pieces. A panel of judges will award prizes of $500, $300, and $200 to the first, second and third place winners respectively. The works for this competition that involve viola are "Sonata" for viola and piano, "In The Land of Wonder-Wander" for violin, viola, cello and piano, and "New England Time Capsules" for string orchestra.
