hi i was wondering if anyone knew of a place where i could get a hold of a piano accompaniment of the vitali chaconne arrangement for viola in e minor? i have the viola part but not the accompaniment, and it is very difficult to find this specific arrangement. the publisher is g. schirmer inc. and it is arranged by louis bailly. thanks!

did you have any luck? I don`t think it`s published, but if it is, I would like information on where to find it.

The piece is available through Shar music. There are two editions available, the viola and piano part are sold together. I don`t think the acc is available separately, but both editions are pretty inexpensive. I thind the Davis edition would be the one to get.

But the edition the original poster of this thread refers to is by Bailly. And he did put it down a fifth into c minor. Published by G Schirmer. The 2 editions that Shar has are not the same. The Bailly is really the way to go.
