Hello you all!!!

I don`t know if you have recognised that everyone is just talking about Apocalyptica,BUT there are so many things cellist can talk about. For example when you are going by bus everyone is staring at you only because you have such a big guitarre on your back...yes guitarre...and they are staring but helping..mhhhhh

Uhhh maybe that is because the subject line of this particular thread is "Apocalyptica" but there *are* other subject lines, or you can start your own, thread about something else.

I have been playing the cello since my youth and I have also been a Metallica fan since their first album.
I have a group of string players who would love to play some of Apocalyptica arrangements. Can we obtain any of their music sheet ?

It does not matter which cello that Apoc uses; a cello
is a cello. The only thing that matters is sound and
sometimes expensive is not always the best sounding.
And besides, I would imagine that Apoc probably has
cellos that are tens if not hundreds of thousands
dollars so it would not be very smart to buy that much
of an expensive instrument if you are a beginner
because you may not even stick with the instrument and
that would be money wasted. You should LEARN how to
play the instrument for a few years first before you
invest in a good quality cello. If you are a beginner
for cello, I suggest that you get a student cello
which only run a few hundred dollars; Ebay sells some
good ones for only $130 and I am sure you may have a
cello instructor in your area who can recommend a good
vendor.

Good luck!
Shaunie

Hi Alyssa,

I found the music to "In the Hall of the Mountain King", but I forget where! =) Sorry. I think it might of been www.freesheetmusicguide.com, but I found piano music, not for cello. Sorry, again. Last but not least, it might help (in case you didn`t know) that this song is from "Peer Gynt" (what ever that is...)
Hope you find what you`re looking for.

Nathan
