what`s a celloist ?!

A person that plays the Cello!As simple as that and if you don`t know what a cello is the check a dictionary!

We call ourselves Cellists` without the letter `o` in the middle, perhaps you should use a dictionary?

For example, I`m a celloist! (I really am...)

how long have you been playing for?
i played for 3 years(grade5) then gave up because my teacher was a perv.
I play the clarinett now(grade 4)

If you are who you say you are, shouldnt you know?

Celloist is grammatically wrong, it`s Cellist, and is a person who plays the cello a (4feet)tall woden instrument with 4 strings; an instrument of the violin family, pitched lower than the viola but higher than the Double Bass

sean dont u mean string family!Violin family is not like cello at all.

I got it from a dictionary. And by the way the violin was the first 4 stringed instrument, the other 3 had more than 4 strings, so the viola, cello and bass are part of the violin family because they were made from and looked similar to the violin.

No, I`m sure it`s cellist, not celloist, it annoys me too when people say that. Anyway, how did you wander into a forum for cellists, not knowing what a celloist (but CELLIST really) was? or did you randomly go to any forum to ask, and by some amazing coincindence it wa a cellists forum?????????????????
