hi, I'm intermediate cello, as it is my 2nd instrument. my current cello has been fitted with larsen soloist strings and my teacher says it can last till grade 8 abrsm, but I am still looking to upgrade. what do you guys, or girls, think of these four cellos? any feedback will be appreciated as i have no clue when it comes to reading descriptions, eg. the types of wood. thanks, trammie. x

in my my opinion you may want to try and find a cello for a level above yours. and see if you can handle that. if so buy the more you play it the more confident you will get playing it. i've had the same cello for the past 4 years and haven't changed. i plan to keep it and play it the rest of my career. but i will of course buy other ones for looks and special occassions. i say you could even keep the cello you have and play that until you're completely serius about playing cello. but if you truly think you need a different cello it's your choice.

no matter what cello you have it's still going to have a beautiful sound. i've also heard that like acoustic giutars cellos sound better the older they are. that might help in picking a new cello if you go through with it.
