Do you think 68 years old is too old ? Most definitely not ! I have found some great starter videos online for tuning, bowing etc. With earlier training on piano, clarinet and flute, I am finding the cello the most rewarding instrument I have ever touched. I love the resonance that seems to permeate the mind and body.
Next task...finding an instructor in a rural area. (gulp)

Hey - my father took up the Cello in his 70's - he found it both energising and rewarding. Do it!

You wont look back.

And get involved with other players - its one of the most rewarding things about music!

Toughening up the fingers yet, but can play for a half hour.
No rural instruction in sight as yet. Possibly some from the high school this Summer.
