Ok I was wondering what some of these terms mean.
----------------------------------------------------
Octave: The first and last tones of a major or minor scale--span 8 different pitches.
D-string open
E-1
F#-3
G-4
A-string open
B-1
C#-3
D-4

-An octave higher would mean you would play that all over again, but to be in an even higher pitch (which would mean that the first note would play would be the last note you just played, the D natural on the A-string). To play an octave lower, would would start with your first finger D on the C-string and the last note you would play would be the open D-string.

Intonation:
-A manner of producing tones, especially with regard to accurate pitch.
