I thought Nicolo Paganini was a violinist, and those caprices were for violin! Was it transcribed or did he really write for cello?

Ferneyhough has written the most difficult pieces for cello. There is no competition. Piatti and Britten and Kodaly and Paganini are like jokes...

It really depends on the player. Anyways, I never heard of Ferneyhough. Do you know of any website that shows his music, like to listen to, or see the first page free.
