I`ve seen in shops, amongst the concerto scores, `miniature scores`. Does anyone know what they are?

I think they are study scores, as opposed to scores to conduct from. e.g if you want to look at how a favourite symphony of yours is constructed between the different instruments, you can buy a miniature score and have a look.
