Hi, my question is very simple, I am making some arrangments for cello, bandoneon, and piano and I need to know what is the range of the cello (the lower and the upper notes which it can play and the notes of the four strings only)
Thanks

The range of the instrument is somewhat dependant on the skill of the player...

The bottom end is two octaves below middle C, and the upper end is, for an advanced player, two octaves above middle C, or even higher. A comfortable range would be up to the F and octave and a half about middle C.

The notes of the cello`s open strings are, from top to bottom, A D G C, the A being the first A below middle C, and the low C being two octaves below middle C. Any other questions?
