I am a middle aged man and would like to learn cello for leisure but I don`t think I can afford one on one tutoring. Does anybody know where I can find cello classes in East Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley, CA area?
I used to play a little bid of trumpet and piano 30 years ago back in high school. I think I lost 98% of my music knowledge by now. Cello has always been my most favorite instrument but never had a chance to learn. Do you guys think I can still pick up a cello to play for fun?
How much is a cheap cello going to cost me?
Appreciate any advice.

So, can you share your experience in finding cello teacher? I`m a middle aged woman who wants to start my cello lesson too. I live in West Covina, close to Walnut.
Have you found a good teacher for Cello lessons?

+ Yes, you probably can still pick up the cello for fun
+ Don`t get a `cheap cello`. They won`t be sensitive and will sound like butt, not to mention fall apart. One even close to decent will near $1,000. Suck, doesn`t it?
+ I also don`t know if it`s possible to find a `cello class` other than what you would find at a middle or high school. You may find one at a college, but they probably won`t teach you to play the instrument. The only real way to get good at any instrument is to practice and have `one on one` lessons.
