i need to know how to tune a cello besides with pitch pipes. If i can use an electric tuner, how many Hz does it need to be in?

I have a YAMAHA (QUARTZ METRONOME QT-1). It not only playes the A note (440HZ is what it shows on the machine built in), it also plays the tempo from 40-280 beats ber minute from low to high pitch.

The tuner is on the bottom of the devise where you turn the round spinning thing, on the picture on this website, it will be where that orange dot is.
