I haven`t pick up a cello in 2 years. I`ve forgot so much I need a quick reminder was the first postion fingering:

A String : 134
D String : 124
G String : 134
C String : 134

I seem to remember that one string had a 124 fingering but I totaly forgot and don`t have any books on the subject. If there is a 124 first postion could anyone explain it? If not thanks away!

For first position, here are the notes that you can play with each finger.....

A- 1(b) 2(c) 3(c#) 4(d)
d- 1(e) 2(f) 3(f#) 4(g)
g- 1(a) 2(b flat) 3(b) 4(c)
c- 1(d) 2(e flat) 3(e) 4(f)
