I purchased a beginners method book ("All for strings; Cello") a couple weeks ago and am looking for another one. Either the book was too easy or too short, I`ve exausted it and am looking for another method book. I`m wondering if there is an equivalent of the Arbans book (for trumpet) for cello. In case you aren`t familiar with the arbans book, it is composed of about 300 pages of exercises and pieces, from pretty much beginner to very advanced. i`d much appreciate any info or advice on an intermediate-advanced book. Thank-you!

Try to find the series by Alwin Schroeder. My copy is about 15 years old, but I`m pretty sure they`re still around. I believe there are several volumes as well- mine is marked "Volume 1". It starts out very basic (whole notes in C) and progresses quite quickly, including keys, bowings, and some tenor clef. My teacher(s) love this book! And sometimes I hate it, but that`s par for the road, I expect
