Right. First of all, I ain`t your peep. LOL, I`m not, but I`m kidding about the rude part. Anyway, I have a First Act four stringed bass which is pretty good considering how cheap it is (great amp too). It comes in a bundle so you`re all ready to go. The hardest part is reading the music, it looks a little like this:
-----------A-----------------
G
-----------F-----------------
E
-----------D-----------------
C
-----------B-----------------
A
-----------G-----------------
The note on the line or space is the name of the note you would play E.G. "G" is the name of the note on the last line of the staff, and "A" is the name of the lowest space on the staff. But it`s really not that different. Basses are tuned an octave lower than a guitar, so the string names are the same. You can even get 5 and six stringed basses whicdh are still an octave lower than its guitar relative. Hope this helps out, and get a bass soon. Happy Playing!
