Wat do you do to teach do u teach yourself hav a teacher or learn of books or somthing else

I personally tought myself, except for my friend, who basicly showed me, how to actually play in the first place

I first started out reading tabs, for about a year, then i had more of an ear for things, so i moved on to learning note, but i also have some band and choir history to back me up. I have never been to a lesson, and i would say ive gotten to be pretty darn good
