Hey everyone! I`m gonna learn to play the guitar this summer. I`ll probably start with an acoustic...which brand and make should I try? And (sorry I`m so clueless...I`m new to this!)how do you read the chords above the notes? ALSO, when you`re stumming the guitar, it`s in a different rythym pattern for each song ive heard. Is there any notation for that, or do you just find it from listening. Wow I`m so confused. So if you could just help me out a little... look into getting a yamaha or ibanez starter acoustic set.

the open basic chords can be found on most guitar lesson web sites.
i can post the numbers and frets for finger possitioning but ull have no idea what im talking about, so here`s a link.

in the lessons and forums they have a basic section, has lists of beginner songs. sign up and ask questions, everyone is very helpful. good luck
