Wow thats great i`ve been playing bass guitar for 3 years easy to learn if you are in to it and i to switched from flute to bass easy transition go to a local music shop that hold guitars ( duh! ) and ask what the easiest and lightest strings are i have metal strings on an Aria which is light and easy to learn on well i actually learned on a gibson with really old strings it was hell on my fingers so keep in mind that they do get really sore when you start and if your into it just keep practicing! Tip: Aria`s are cheap used ones with a little damage are the best because like a shoe they need to be broken in! But Fender`s are downright the best so hope you find what you are looking for and fill me in on what you got

First of all I want to know that you have the basic knowledge of guitar.Whether you can take a simple chords in guitar or not.It is necessary to practise to move and to det fingers in freets. So better to start with hollow guitar and you can take lesson to jazz bass guitar
