Does anyone know anything about accoustic ventura guitars. I got one and it seems to be a great guitar, but I know nothing about it. I believe it was made sometime in the seventies, but other than that I know almost nothing. Can someone please help.

I own a bruno v-12, its a six string and i love it. i paid 25 bucks for it from a friend who played at the grand ol opry for 14 years and used the guitar i have.

I have a V-10 that I rescued from a pawn shop in 88. I began taking lessons with it shortly there after.My instructor and a more experienced student really liked the guitar. When asked what I had paid for it I told them eighty dollars.The student replied"I guarantee you stole that guitar from them."I still have the old V-10 and play it often.I heard a story that Fender bought Ventura but that may be just a story.

i just started picking up playing almost a year now and im using my dads old guitar which just happens to be aacoustic ventura bruno, this is the guitar his teacher reccomended to him and he said he paid around 100 to 200 dollars back in the 60s or 70s. Kids i know who play it hate the guitar and say its cheap but when i let a real guitar player use it thier in aww of how good it sounds. Ive looked all over the interent but still have not found much information on this guitar.

I own a 1970 Ventura Bruno V-12 six (6) string acoustic (serial #53,688). I believe it`s a 1970 because I got it brand new from a music store in Fresno, CA when I was fourteen years old. The music store was called ????? (NE corner of First and McKinley).

I`ve tried looking on the internet, but I haven`t had much finding any info. about Ventura guitars.

I like the guitar. I`ve put Schaller tuning gears and an acoustic pickup.

Anybody know where I can find info. on Ventura guitars.

I was given a Ventura V-33 acoustic in 1977 as a Christmas present and learned to play on it. I have since purchased fancier instruments but the Ventura is very good, particularly for a laminate instrument.

I Have a ventura V-14 and
its an awsome guitar. Its sounds awsome and many speak
highly of them/ These go for 300.00 to 400.00 on ebay
its a seventies modeled after the gibsons.

I have an old guitar and don`t even remember where it came from, don`t know the age but the stats are as such:

inside label totally intact reads:
Ventura Bruno
Model: V-10 Serial # 45542
also stamped on the label is a backwards B followed by 271.
It`s a 6-string. My son has requested an acoustic guitar for his 18th birthday, and I am debating buying a new one or getting this re-strung etc.
It needs strings, and a `knob` for the string to wrap on at the top (can you tell I don`t know much about guitar terms?)

the v-6 acoustics are awsome and are comparable to
the higher end of this style classical guitar today
your guitar will need a new bridg and it needs to be set up setup along with strings a set up is a procedure to intonate the guitar and make sure the strings are at a good distance from the neck. (very important)
A good friend of mine is the owner of stringmasters custom shop in San Diego and they always setup my guitar.

Here`a a story for you (it`s true): I`m a housepainter. I did a job for a lady in Connecticut whose grandfather had passed away. She wanted me to barter for the work, and knew I played guitar. You can probably figure out the rest of the story. Her grandfather left behind a beautiful Ventura classical, and had been taking lessons before he died. But there`s more: she showed me around the house and told me what she wanted to have done. It was a flat ranch-style house, with a huge cathedral style living room. There was a grand piano in the corner and an entire wall-to-wall bookcase, about eight feet high, filled with books on music, music history, artists, composers, etc., along with hundreds of old LP`s, from classical artists to contemporary. In a back room, he had a small recording area, with several reel-to-reel tape decks (all of which she gave me), and just as many cassette recorders and amplifiers, along with a four-way speaker system. I felt like I was standing on sacred ground. I asked her what her grandfather did, and she told me he taught clarinet. "Oh yeah," she said, "he was Benny Goodman`s teacher." I just about fell over, but she said it so casually, I knew it was true. I couldn`t get over the idea that Benny Goodman would even HAVE a music teacher, but I`ve since learned that all of the greatest musicians have someone they work with to keep themselves on track. Along with all of the stereo and recording equiptment, she gave me his Ventura. I didn`t think much of it at first, and let my daughter take it so she could learn, but she recently gave it back to me, and now that I`ve had a chance to play it, I`m really impressed by the sound, and can understand why someone so educated and gifted in music would have chosen it to learn on.
