Hey there,,
I have the same problem as u do. SO i just cheat like my mother and use an electric tuner which u can buy from any music store. but u would also have to buy a battery for it too. They arent expensive either.. Well at least they shouldnt be anyway. Good luck with the tunning

Well that is the problem with tunning your guitar of of the 6th string, when you do this your guitar had to have been tunned in the first place. This way of tunning does not work for say new guitars. When you do this you are assuming that the 6th string is in tunning, because it is the thickest cord it takes much longer for it to go out of tunning. Your best bet is purchasing a electronic tunner.

Your telephone is a perfect F. Tune your top string to it then drop it down a half a step. Or 1 fret down. Then simply use the 5-0 proccess. but on the 3rd and 2nd its 4-0

DROP C (c g c f a d)
(without tuner)
"from normal tuning, play the third fret on bottom e, then open a, detune the a till it sounds the same as the third fret of e. Then, on the a string, play the fifth fret, then open d, and then detune the a string till it sounds the same as the open d. then do the fifth on the d with open g, then the FORTH with g and open b, then the Fifth with b and open top e
play the seventh fret on your low e string and open a (which now should be g). detune the e till it sounds the same as the a string. the tuning should now be C G C F A D."
with a tuner...
start with EADGBE
then...
"1) play the 4th fret on the low e and tune that to e
2) play the second fret on the A string and tune that to A
3)play the second fret on the D string and tune that to D
4)play the second fret on the G string and tunen that to a G
5)play the second fret on the B string and tune that to a B
6)play the second fret on the high E sting and tune that to an E
C G C F A D."
