whenever i play a humming noise comes from my amp, i was wondering if getting a humbucker would eliminate that noise?

no, a humbucker would NOT solve it. your amp needs grounding properly. Ask an electrician to explain. I`ll bet the humming stops when you touch metal parts of the guitar. that`s because ur acting like a groundwire.
