Hey everyone...I know this may seem like a noob question but is it wise to use a bass with normal guitar amp....

I would really like to buy a bass yet am too cheap to buy a bass amp...

Why not? Personally, I play my bass through my guitar amp, and it never harmed my equipment. Also, Chris Squire of Yes plays his bass through a guitar amp, so it can't be that bad. Getting a bass amp just might give you a better sound.

It will tecnicly work but it wont sound right, it will sound realy twangy and wont have enough power to make the base sound, fyi thats y thay make base amps LOL JK, but thay make small base amps that r like 70 - 80 bucks, like 35 "watt"ers, go with first act

You can only play it quietly otherwise you run the risk of blowing the speaker. It does happen!
