hi
I have been playing guitar for years now and am getting rather good on it. I have one electric and im embarrassed to say that it is a squire strat, cheapo basically. This was my first electric guitar but i am now at its limits and definately need a new, better guitar to keep me going.
I want to know what model I should get next? I am way too good now for a Squire Strat I feel so, as im only 14, have decided to nag my parents and theyve agreed with me. So, lucky me! I get a new guitar for christmas, the thing is, i dont know what model i should get.
I play anything and everything between sweet, delicate, touching songs like Fleetwood Mac`s Albatross and Blackbird by the beatles to punk rock and the heavy tones of metallica. So basically i need a good guitar all round in terms of what type of music it can play.
I would like something with a nice, deep tone as, its always nice, isnt it? That`s just 1 of the things a squier just can`t do really.
I was looking along the lines of Fender as in Stratocasters and Telecasters but I really dont know too much about different models.
By the way, my budget is £300 to £500 (im from uk).
Can anybody help me please?
Thanks all!

I dont what do the prices look like in uk, but in canada i got myself an Ibanez RG 720 for 1000$. Something like 500pounds ni guess, i dont know. The cool thing with Ibanez is that their guitars are really versatile. It does sound good for Jazz, for metal, for rock and probably for smooth things like you play too. The sound is just deep enough and the touch is just wonderful, i mean the neck is really easy to slide on. You have a Floyd Rose bridge. If your not familiar with that, this is the bridge that bends down and up so that when you bend your strings or when you play with the tremolo, te strings never change tuning. It`s just more complicated to change the strings or to tune those guitars, but it`snot a big deal. Try it if you have the chance. i love mine

Just try one of the best guitars they build in U.K.: go to a store and ask to try a Gordon Smith.
If you`re in for the warm sound of a Gibson but the Gibson is too expensif, you`ll be surpriced by thisone. And they`re within the range of your budged.
