I have a Schecter diamond series Omen-6, 2 humbuckers it really kicks a$$ and I`d rather customize it then buy a new one. I play punk and metal, I know EMG`s are really good, but they need batteries and are very exspensive, I love d`ddario but I dont know what other strings are good, or at least for my style of music. any advice would be helpful

I really like the D`addarios because they last, but most metal players I know prefer the Ernie Balls because they are much slinkier for the all the power chords they crunch.

As for pickups, Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon may up your alley. Go to a guitar shop and talk with the techs there. They know everything about different pickups and could probably make even more specific recommendations to you if you explain to them what sound you are looking for.

Maybe since you like the guitar so much as is, you might want to consider a new amp instead to help you achieve the sound you desire.
