What are the best amps for beginners? I am not a beginner when it comes to playing guitar, but I am a total beginner to setting up an amp. I dont have very much space and am a broke college kid haha. Ive been looking at pocket amps but realize I am even more clueless when it comes to them. Im thinking about marshall. Is their pocket amp good? I know their regular practice amps are pretty amazing.

Try the Vox ampplug, I just ordered mine lol havnt tried it yet though. it allows you to practise with headphones as to not disturb others( I work night shift and my only chance to practice is 5 in the morning)

Hello! I use this one at my laptop. It's a guitar tuner working with the microphone. I cannot tune my guitar by only hearing the played tones but i will learn this for sure!).
I searched for a free guitar tuner microphone software and found a easy littke app here http://download.cnet.com/Easy-Guitar-Tuner/3000-2170_4-76175246.html
Now i am able to tune a guitar anywhere, because i mostly got my laptop (and since a while my guitar too) with me when i am on the road again. I hope you find this useful too
