Dude, there`s no way that someone as good as John Williams would stoop as low as adding additional tracks to play a song as relatively simple as Cavatina. As beautiful as the song may be, it doesn`t mean it`s as complicated as some of the other stuff he plays - stuff that`s obviously played by one guitar. If your guitar teacher told you it was two tracks of guitar - he`s full of poop. Dump him. You`d be better off with a cd player, learning with your own ears with the aid of the rewind and pause buttons. Take your time. There`s no hurry. Good luck.

I`ve never heart Cavatina in sound-track version. Anyway, I`ve heart the one from John`s album, which is really great and play with only one guitar.

you can play this lovely tune on one guitar but only if your good.
i was lucky enough to hear it played by a busker outside a chapel in barcelona where this young man was playing his classical guitar,and when i asked for cavatina he played the whole tune without one mistake.

Listen to it from Andres Segovia I believe he plays it all by himself.As far as I know it`s his music.You never know what these Spanish can do with the guitar. The best is to encourage yourself to try to play it. Maybe it won`t sound the same but as long it comes from your heart, you yourself and your friends who are listening will be most satisfied. I also love this music and I also play the guitar. Just listen to your heart. Good luck.

Another nice version of this song is played by Liona Boyd - it is a Medley of Plaisir D`amour and Cavatina (Deer Hunter). The combination of these 2 songs by Boyds is incredibly soft and beautiful.

heya, my dad wants me to play "the deer hunter" for him on the guitar..one of his fav songs. i`m not an expert at guitar, but i`ll try..sounds like a good challenge..can someone be so kind as to send me a workable version? ~sincerely grateful!
