I want a guitar with heavy palm muting... Very high gain and maybe an EMG afterburner or at least EMG 81s... Help me out

Okay, Pauly, taking a quick flip through my latest copy of Musician`s Friend catalogue, I quickly find that the two companies that feature EMG pickups, not mention have all the designs metal players craze, are Jackson and ESP. Since you didn`t give me a price range or a bridge preference (hard tail, tremelo, flyod rose, through-the-body), I really can`t recommend any specific models.

I would suggest going to musiciansfriend.com and doing separate searches for jackson as well as esp under the guitar area. Or order a catalogue -- it`s a lot easier to look through when you`re first trying to narrow your options.

Oh, one more word of advice. I once had an ESP with a Floyd, but I finally sold it, not because the floyd drove me crazy, which it did, but because I had to take the dang neck off every time I wanted to adjust the truss rod!!! ESP seems to have remedied this in most of their newer models, but double check that there is a truss rodd cover on the neck (or at least a hole like in the Strats) before plunking down your money. Trust me, you`ll thank me later.
